Transport Corporation of America, Inc. The Company's customers require time-definite pickup and delivery to support just-in-time inventory management, specialized equipment, such as temperature-controlled trailers, trailers designed to support decking, multi-stop loading and unloading, and sophisticated electronic transaction capabilities to automate the exchange of order, load, and billing data. The Company also provides logistics services by arranging transportation for customers with other third-party transportation providers. To support these complex customer requirements and deliver logistics services cost-effectively, Transport America has developed a sophisticated information management system which it believes makes it a technological leader in the industry.

Driver orientation is three days. Transport America provides transportation from the nearest service center to the orientation site. Motel, meals or a meal allowance is also provided.

Home Time. Drivers that live in the white shaded area will get home 46 out of 52 weeks per year (in many cases it will be weekends, but not guaranteed). The same home time applies to drivers that live 50 miles on either side of the white line that goes from Louisville, KY to Atlanta, GA. Drivers living in the red area can expect to get home every 10 to 14 days.

Owner Operators

Transport America offers a Lease-to-Own program that allows drivers to begin their own business. We offer attractive finance rates and a low down payment on late-model used tractors. To be eligible for the program, drivers must have at least six months OTR experience and meet Transport America's hiring guidelines.
